Director Exposes Big Current Problem With Tollywood

For a long time, now, there have been several discussions and theories about the kind of theatrical returns that are being generated by several Telugu films. While successful big hero films are continuing to deliver at the box office, it is the lower segment of the films that are struggling big time.

In this context, it is being reported that even the industry insiders are concerned about the kind of footfalls that are being recorded at theatres. This has been elevated by the latest statement from Director Trinadha Rao Nakkina.

This talented and senior director revealed that he went on a tour two parts of Andhra Pradesh while working on his films and revealed the ground level situation that is very concerning now.

The veteran director pointed out that people are simply not coming out to watch films in theatres, and the situation is turning out to be very tricky from now on. He pointed out that several theatres across the Telugu states are cancelling the second shows due to the lack of audience.

He pointed out that the audience are not ready to step out in big numbers, even for Hero films, as they have decided to wait it out for OTT and other factors.

It has been clearly pointed out that the number of people going to theatres is considerably going down every now and again, and this is a burning problem for the entire film in industry.

The fact that this comment is coming from a director who associated with the film industry itself is a topic of discussion now, and perhaps a few pointers must be taken from the same by the whole industry.
