When people in the crowd reportedly chanted Trisha’s name, Udhayanidhi allegedly made a comment that many people felt had a double meaning. After the video became viral, the women’s wing of Vijay’s Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam reportedly approached the Thanjavur Police with a complaint. They alleged that Udhayanidhi’s words were inappropriate and targeted Trisha. The DMK, however, said that his comments had been misunderstood and were not aimed at any particular person.

Udhayanidhi was reportedly taken to Sengipatti Police Station in Thanjavur district for questioning. He was later released on bail. Trisha, meanwhile, had not made a direct public statement about the controversy until her recent Instagram activity.

In one of her Instagram Stories, Trisha shared a message about avoiding unnecessary drama. The post said that creating drama at this age was embarrassing and suggested focusing on earning money and finding peace. However, Trisha’s main reason for returning to Instagram appeared to be a family celebration. She shared pictures from her maternal grandmother’s 98th birthday. The celebration included family members, her pet Izzy and a cake. Trisha was seen wearing a beautiful purple saree.
