While many of her contemporaries faded out or slowed down
By: Tupaki Desk | 24 April 2026 1:00 PM ISTWhile many of her contemporaries faded out or slowed down, Tamil siren Trisha Krishnan quietly built a career that’s not just consistent, but financially smart. Of course, her stardom faded way back in the late 2010s itself and after her films like Dammu in Telugu, she is out of the equation. However, the likes of Mani Ratnam gave her respite by casting in movies like Ponniyan Selvan series, and thus the 40-year-old is back to the multi-crore acting game again.
If we look at Trishan’s net worth, it now stands at around ₹85 crore, according to estimates. It’s not built overnight, but through long-term planning, including films, endorsements, and controlled spending. She started as a side-character in Jodi (1999) and went on to deliver commercial hits like Varsham, Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana, Ghilli, Saamy, and Aadavari Matalaku Ardhalu Verule. Then came a shift. Films like Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa and 96 helped her reinvent. And Ponniyin Selvan pushed her back into the big league. Today, she’s reportedly asking for ₹10–12 crore per film, after earning around ₹5 crore for Leo. That’s not easy at this stage of a career, especially with younger actors entering every year. Though endorsements have faded out now, some come her way, like some gold jewellery ads, which pay her around ₹3-4 crores.
Coming to property investments, Trisha is said to have a luxury home in Chennai worth ₹10–12 crore. Another property in Hyderabad around ₹6–7 crore. Her premium car portfolio is worth ₹3–4 crore. In an industry that keeps replacing faces every few years, many starlets often lose money after their career ends, but Trisha has solid savings, they say.
