Trisha on Second Wind and Bollywood Ambitions

Trisha Krishnan, a leading actress in South Indian cinema, is experiencing a career resurgence. After a period of uncertainty, she's back in the spotlight with the success of "Ponniyin Selvan" and 'Leo' and a string of upcoming projects. This renewed popularity has sparked conversations about her potential foray into Bollywood.

"Everyone is calling me the luckiest heroine down South," Trisha remarked in a recent interview. "Just when I thought my career might be over, I found myself back in the limelight." This resurgence follows a successful second innings ignited by "Ponniyin Selvan." Currently, she has several significant films lined up, solidifying her position in the South Indian film industry.

The discussion around Trisha's career inevitably touches on Bollywood ambitions, a common path for many South Indian actresses. Having made her Hindi debut with "Khatta Meetha" in 2010, which didn't achieve the desired success, some speculated that the film hindered her Bollywood prospects.

Trisha clarifies, "There's no truth to that. Back then, I wasn't prepared to relocate my family to Mumbai. Entering Bollywood often means sacrificing projects down South. With my established fanbase here, I wanted to explore Bollywood opportunities while capitalizing on my South Indian success."

With her current projects, including Megastar Chiranjeevi's "Vishwambhara" and "Thuglife" with Kamal Haasan, and "Vidyaamuthira" with Ajith, Trisha remains firmly rooted in the South. However, her comments leave the door open for future Bollywood endeavors, should the right project and timing come along.
