Trivikram's Decision Has Now Come Back To Trouble Him
The film is scheduled to release on October 9. The same date is also planned for the release of Trivikram Srinivas and Venkatesh’s Adarsha Kutumbam AK 47.
By: Priya Chowdhary Nuthalapti | 2 Oct 2026 5:19 PM ISTTrivikram Srinivas is one of the most popular directors in Telugu cinema. His films always create a lot of expectations among the audience. But a decision taken by him earlier is now getting attention in the film industry.
The devotional film Hanuman Ansh has reportedly become a huge blockbuster. The movie was made on a very small budget of around Rs. 1.75 to Rs. 2 crore. However, the film is said to have collected around Rs. 380–400 crore worldwide. After this success, there has been strong interest in the Telugu version.
Earlier, Trivikram Srinivas had reportedly acquired the Telugu rights of Hanuman Ansh. He was also expected to present the film to Telugu audiences. However, due to a last-minute change, Trivikram stepped back from the project.
Later, the Telugu rights went to Hombale Films, the production house known for films like KGF, Salaar and Kantara. The interesting part is that Hombale Films has now announced the Telugu release of Hanuman Ansh.
The film is scheduled to release on October 9. The same date is also planned for the release of Trivikram Srinivas and Venkatesh’s Adarsha Kutumbam AK 47.
This has created an unexpected situation. If Trivikram had continued with Hanuman Ansh earlier, the film might not have directly competed with his own movie. But after stepping away from the project, Hanuman Ansh is now arriving on the same day as Adarsha Kutumbam.
This coincidence has become a talking point among movie lovers. Hanuman Ansh is coming to Telugu theatres with the advantage of its strong performance in other markets. The film has already created curiosity because of its blockbuster reports.
At the same time, Adarsha Kutumbam is expected to target family audiences, women and youth. Hanuman Ansh belongs to a completely different genre, so both films have their own audience.
Still, the direct clash is interesting because of Trivikram’s earlier association with Hanuman Ansh. What started as a decision to step away from the project has now resulted in an unusual box-office clash.
The October 9 releases are therefore expected to attract significant attention from Telugu movie audiences.
