Venky-Trivikram, Why No Buzz At All?
Many are wondering what exactly is going wrong with this film, and here are some opinions.
By: Shanaz B Syed | 19 Aug 2026 4:02 PM ISTA couple of weeks ago, senior hero Venkatesh Daggubati’s next film, which is being directed by Trivikram, has rained some updates. And within no time, the updates got fizzled out, and there was no talk about the movie in film circuits either. Many are wondering what exactly is going wrong with this film, and here are some opinions.
First of all, as Trivikram took almost 2 years to announce his next film, many expected a lot from his movie with Venkatesh, as that combination is for the first time. Though Trivikram wrote dialogues for Venky’s movie, he never directed him. At a time when audiences are expecting something bigger and better, they just got a simple F2, Sankranthiki Vastunnam kind of treat from “Adarsha Kutumbam” which has upset the fans of the director.
On the other hand, these types of Venky’s movies don’t need huge buzz, but should only get good word of mouth on Day 1. Only based on that alone, Venky could pull of easily ₹200+ crores in a Sankranthi-like season. Now that this new film, #AK47, is hitting cinemas on October 2nd, maybe the makers are also thinking that they will get similar attention in theatres, and the film needs no buzz for now.
That said, Trivikram has released the announcement poster of his next with Jr NTR as well; that poster also trended for a day and was forgotten. Maybe the director should also recheck his creative brilliance with respect to the present-day audience.
