We are all know about the criticism star writer-director Trivikram Srinivas faced in recent times regarding his content. Especially, his 'Guntur Karam' faced a lot of heat from trollers and critics due to the routine story and template screenplay. The talk on the first day has been very disappointing. Many said that it is another 'Attarintiki Daredi' and 'Agnyathavaasi'. Despite Mahesh's stardom dragging the movie over the line, it has been made clear that audience are vexed with the routine content Trivikram has been coming up with over the past few years.

He gained hits with mother sentiment, father emotion, story about aunt and others. 'Ala Vaikunthapuramlo' is all about mother and father sentiment while 'Aravinda Sametha' has strong father emotion. 'S/o Satyamurthy' as the title suggests is about his father and we all know the story of 'Attarintiki Daredi'. 'A Aa' is all about differences between close relatives. These are all the storylines of Trivikram's last couple of projects. Most of them run on these sentimental threads.

Most of them were hits but people are complaining about his lack of novelty for a long time. This is the main reason for the backlash on 'Guntur Karam' as well. It is all about mother-son sentiment and everyone said that it looked like a mixture of all Trivikram's previous outings. A lot of people have said that the same kind of stories won't work out for Trivikram anymore. At a time when Telugu cinema is making pan-Indian and pan-world movies, Trivikram is sticking to a set of stories and churning out one film after the other that are similar to each other. It is not wrong to make movies on family sentiments but not showing any originality and copying his films is where the problem arises. Let us see how Guruji responds to all the criticism he has been facing.
