Two Padma Vibhushan Awardees In Family: Upasana Feels Blessed!

The undisputed King of Tollywood Megastar Chiranjeevi has an illustrious career in the film industry. During his peak, his films collected more than what Amitabh Bachchan’s films did. He is also known for his humanitarian work like eye bank and blood bank. Recently another feather was added to his illustrious cap.

The Padma Bhushan winner Chiranjeevi was selected for the Padma Vibhushan award. After a long time, a film industry member was selected for the award. Wishes came in from various corners for the veteran star on the big occasion.

No words can describe the happiness the Mega family has been going through with this. Chiranjeevi’s daughter-in-law Upasana Kamineni Konidela is very happy about this as there are two Padma Vibhushan awardees in her family.

Her father-in-law Chiranjeevi is selected for the civilian award recently. Earlier her grandfather Dr Prathap C Reddy was honored with the award. She took to social media to share the happiness of having two Padma Vibhushan awardees in the house.

Chiranjeevi: The veteran actor is a Padmabhushan awardee already. He was selected for the Padma Bhushan in the Arts category. On the eve of the Republic Day, his name was announced for the award.

Prathap Chandra Reddy: Upasana’s grandfather is the founder of the Apollo Hospital chain, the first Corporate Hospital in the country. The Chain of hospitals did a phenomenal job in making valuable contributions in health care. A Cardiologist by profession he was conferred with the second-highest civilian award Padma Vibhushan in 2010. He was honoured with the award for excellence in healthcare.

The Padma Awards are given to personalities based on their valuable contributions in their respective fields. It is rare to get one award. But her family has two second-highest civilian awards which is extremely rare. Upasana is happy with this and shared the happiness.
