Pawan Kalyan’s latest movie, Ustaad Bhagat Singh, directed by his Gabbar Singh maker Harish Shankar, was released last week to mixed talk in theatres. Though Harish Shankar is busy making some tall claims about the movie, somehow, the occupancy in the theatre has come down drastically. However, fans are looking forward to the Sri Ramanavami tomorrow (Friday), as that holiday, clubbed with the weekend, is quintessential for the movie to achieve a box office feat.

Most of Pawan Kalyan’s films in recent times, irrespective of the talk, have collected more than ₹100 crores quite easily with whatever the talk that has come out on the first day. Even with a disastrous talk, Hari Hara Veera Mallu made around ₹115 crores gross from the box office. Earlier, with an average talk, his BRO movie also made the most from theatres, touching the ₹100 crores gross. However, with an average talk, Ustaad Bhagat Singh has so far posted ₹90 crores gross and slowed down hugely, thus making fans wonder if the movie would touch the milestone of 100 crores or not.

While fans are hoping that the SRi Rama Navami weekend will help it score the ₹100 crores mark, trade pundits are busy saying that the power of Dhurandhar 2 has affected this film of Powerstar big time. If there’s no Dhurandhar 2 in theatres, or the film avoided the clash with this Bollywood biggie, which is the sequel of a smashing hit, definitely Ustaad would have posted ₹120-150 crores easily, they say.
