The film was reviewed by the Censors the other day and was awarded a U/A certificate. That’s not it, the reports coming from the Censor Show are surely going to blow the minds of movie lovers.
With a total runtime of 2 hours and 33 minutes, the film is neither long nor short, but follows the usual commercial movie format. The first half, which runs for a little over 1 hour 11 minutes, is hilarious and super entertaining, while Pawan’s Khaki avatar starts from pre-interval, and a powerful interval block that sets the roof on fire. The second half features a lot of emotionally driven performance, with Powestar slipping into top-notch emotional work.
Censor talk says that Pawan Kalyan’s infectious energy, his peak-level performance as an honest police officer, and the way he took the whole film on his shoulders, coupled with Harish Shankar's mark dialogues, Ustaad Bhagat Singh is going to become a blockbuster of epic proportions. Also, they say that director and ‘cult captain’ Harish Shankar has once again done wonders, like how he did with Gabbar Singh almost a decade earlier. Probably after Gabbar Singh, this upcoming Ustaad Bhagat Singh is going to become such a big blockbuster.
Mythri Movie Makers, the top-notch production house of Tollywood, has spent more than 3 years on this project and waited for 2 years before that to get Pawan Kalyan’s dates. Looks like all the wait is worth it, and director Harish Shankar has carved out such a brilliant commercial film that would now bring life to theatres that are lying in vacant mode after the Sankranthi 2026 season.
