Trade Talk: Don’t Expect #OG Numbers For Ustaad

Fans always want their heroes' films to beat all the records, but that is not possible all the time. Right now, we are going to witness Pawan Kalyan's next film, Ustad Bhagat Singh, on March 19 in theatres. At a time when fans are expecting Ustaad to beat the premiere show collections of The Raja Saab and other movies, there’s another talk that is being heard.

Trade exports are saying that forget about beating the Premier collections of other biggies of recent times, but Ustad might not be able to beat #OG in the first place. The reason for this happens to be the lower buzz surrounding the movie and the trailer not being released, even though there are only five days for the film to hit Cinemas. Only after the trailer comes, maybe the hype will go up, and the benefit show sales might pick up. As the trailer is set for a release on the evening of March 14th, we have to see what happens.

However, benefit show sales might not show up in the revenue ledger because usually that wouldn't happen. Only if the premiere shows are officially screened, then that would add up to the collections. As the Supreme Court has already struck off the order given by the Telangana High Court earlier, now the makers might go for big premieres, but beating #OG premier numbers and first-day collection might not be possible for Ustad from the trade point of view.
