Vadivelu, the king of Tamil comedy, has graced the silver screen with countless unforgettable performances. His comedic genius has brought laughter to millions, and his iconic characters have become household names. Some of Vadivelu's most popular and hilarious movies include "Chandramukhi," "Imsai Arasan 23am Pulikesi," "Mersal," "Pokkiri," and "Naai Sekar Returns."

Vadivelu has made headlines with his recent legal action against fellow actor Singamuthu, filing a defamation suit seeking a staggering Rs 5 crore in damages. The petition was lodged in the Chennai High Court, where Vadivelu outlined the basis for his claim, stating that he has been a prominent figure in the Tamil film industry since 1991. He noted that he and Singamuthu have worked together in several films since 2000, but tensions have escalated over the years, leading to a public fallout between the two actors.

In his petition, Vadivelu accused Singamuthu of making derogatory comments about him during interviews on various YouTube channels from January to mid-March. He asserted that these statements were not only false but also intended to tarnish his reputation and career. Vadivelu expressed his belief that Singamuthu's jealousy over his success prompted these defamatory remarks, which he claims have caused him significant emotional distress. The comedian is seeking a permanent injunction to prevent Singamuthu from continuing to make such statements.

The case has garnered substantial attention within the Tamil film industry, with many industry insiders and fans weighing in on the controversy. The judge presiding over the case has issued a notice to Singamuthu, requiring him to respond to the allegations within two weeks. This legal battle has reignited discussions about the responsibilities of public figures and the impact of social media on their reputations, as well as the fine line between free speech and defamation.

His recent appearances in Chandramukhi 2 and Maresan didn’t fare well at the box office.
