Varalaxmi to debut as director-producer with thriller Saraswathi

Actress Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, celebrated for her fearless and versatile film choices, is embarking on a significant career expansion. The actress is set to don dual roles as a producer and a director for the first time, in a major leap for her professional journey.

She has announced her maiden film, Saraswathi. The movie is said to be a high-concept thriller and in the title, the letter "I", is highlighted in red, intriguing about the intense and suspenseful narrative. Varalaxmi launched the production house, Dosa Diaries, with her sister Pooja, which will be producing this film.

Ensemble cast for this includes veteran actor Prakash Raj, acclaimed actress Priyamani, and Naveen Chandra in pivotal roles. S Thaman is scoring the music for the film. Further details are yet to be revealed.
