Actress Varalaxmi Sarathkumar recently made strong comments about how society judges women based on their clothes. Her remarks have become widely discussed on social media. She spoke openly about the way people criticize women for small things like visible clothing straps.

During a conversation about how women are judged for their dressing, Varalaxmi shared her opinion in a bold way. She questioned why people always blame women’s clothes for problems in society. According to her, clothing should not be used as an excuse to judge or shame women.

Varalaxmi said, “If your sister goes outside wearing shorts, will you feel like raping her? Men wear jeans and when they bend, everything becomes visible. Nobody jumps on them for that. If your underwear is visible, it’s not considered wrong. But if a woman’s bra strap is visible, what will happen? It’s their body and their choice. Nobody should judge.”

Her words quickly went viral online. Many people appreciated her for speaking directly about the issue, while others debated her statement. The discussion mainly focused on how society often holds women to stricter standards than men.

Varalaxmi Sarathkumar is known for expressing her views without fear. Throughout her career, she has often spoken about women’s rights and equality. Fans say this is one more example of her being honest about issues that many people hesitate to talk about.

Meanwhile, Varalaxmi is also busy with her upcoming film S. Saraswathi. The project is important for her because she is not only acting in the movie but also directing it. The film is produced by Varalaxmi and her sister Pooja Sarathkumar under their production banner called Dosa Diaries.

Originally, the movie was titled Saraswathi, but the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) asked the team to change the title. After the change, the film is now called S. Saraswathi.

The thriller film features well-known actors Prakash Raj, Priyamani, and Naveen Chandra in important roles. Music for the film has been composed by Thaman. The movie has a runtime of 2 hours and 1 minute and is expected to offer a high-concept storyline.
