Varanasi: Is The Ancient Rome Talk True?

Once again, an interesting comment made by legendary filmmaker SS Rajamouli in connection with the upcoming film “Varanasi” is hitting the fanbases hard. Apparently, the director stated that the visuals shown in the Varanasi glimpse that was released were earlier just things to showcase the scale of the movie, and the glimpse is story-free, which means nothing related to the story is there inside.

Apparently, Rajamouli stated that the Varanasi story oscillates between Varanasi, Antarctica, Africa and Ancient Rome as well. Whether Rajamouli made that comment or not, the inclusion of the region ‘ancient Rome’ in the interview published by a Hollywood portal is now creating tremors in the film world. Because none saw this coming.

Of course, Rajamouli went to Africa and Antarctica for the shoot, but the whole of the Varanasi sets are completely kept under the hood. Recently, it has come out that they built the Varanasi set in Hyderabad. And now that the talk about the ‘Ancient Rome’ episode is brewing, many wonder if these visuals will also come out soon. So, what this Telugu hero is going to do in Rome is going to be an interesting aspect also in case the talk is true.

Varanasi features Mahesh Babu, Priyanka Chopra and Prithviraj Sukumar in the leads, while many other stars are also part of it. The film is hitting cinemas on April 7, 2027.
