A lot of films are promised for the holiday season this year, and Telugu industry folks are continuously missing that out. Take the Summer, for example: a lot of movies are promised, and none came into theatres, saying that IPL is disturbing them, or a scorching heat wave. After giving up the whole of the summer holidays, Peddi came in the 1st week, right before schools and colleges are reopened. Looks like Tollywood is going through a similar strategy for Dasara holidays too, until now, and Venky has thrown his kerchief.

Films like Prabhas’ Fauzi, Megastar Chiranjeevi’s Vishwambhara and Vijay Devarakonda’s Ranabali have targeted a Dasara holiday release. As Dasara is falling on October 20th, there is a total week where films could consume the entertainment preference of the Telugu audience. However, none have confirmed their release date. Using that to their advantage, now the makers of Venkatesh’s Adarsha Kutumbam have locked October 2nd, a couple of weeks before Dasara holidays, as their date. This time, Mahatma’s birthday is a long weekend, so naturally the film would have a terrific advantage at the box office. And naturally, films run for two weeks these days, and if there’s no other film in the holiday season, then Venky’s movie will eat away into the Dasara holidays too.

#AK47 is directed by Trivikram, who is coming after a long break post the shocker given by Guntur Kaaram earlier. The film is bankrolled by Harika Haasini, and they are likely to create an amazing promotional campaign to take the film into theatres. Featuring Srinidhi Shetty as the leading lady, and Nivetha Pethuraj as the second heroine, we have to see how the film turns up as it’s being said that the storyline is pretty close to Arjun’s Blast Zone movie.
