Vijay Deverakonda is one of the most popular actors in Telugu cinema. Once upon a time even Bollywood heroines in few shows expressed their interest in acting with this hero. However things have not been going well for him in recent years. Even his experiments with different stories and characters are not giving him the expected results. Hence actor is now facing a difficult phase in his career.

Vijay became a star with films like Pelli Choopulu, Arjun Reddy and Geetha Govindam. These movies gave him a strong image among audiences. But except these movies nothing later worked for this actor. He is struggling to deliver another big hit. His career took a major setback with the disaster of Liger. Since then, he has been trying different stories to make a strong comeback.

Recently Vijay had high hopes for few films. He even went through a major physical transformation for the films. But the films failed to achieve the expected success at the box office. Though his movies received decent reviews in recent times, they did not translate into strong box office collections.

Now, all eyes are on his upcoming film Rowdy Janardhan. Vijay needs a strong hit to regain his position in the industry. If this film also fails to meet expectations then he may have to seriously rethink his career choices.

At this stage, It is very clear that Vijay should focus more on selecting strong scripts rather than experimenting just for the sake of it. Vijay still has a loyal fan base and the talent to make a comeback. But his next film needs to deliver what audiences are waiting for. If not, then his career will just be at the cross roads.
