The Telugu box office saw a new theatrical film in the form of Kingdom, which released in theatres on July 31. The film has opened on a strong note at the box office and it is generating substantial revenues right from the opening day show in twin Telugu states.

Reportedly the film has collected in the range of ₹15.75 Crore net on its opening day in the Telugu state, and this is pretty significant tally for any film, considering that this Vijay Devarkonda film released on our working day.

With no holiday advantage, and also considering the lien face of Vijay with no consolidated hits in the recent past, this is a pretty strong number for the young actor.

In terms of worldwide, gross, the film has reportedly collected in the range of ₹33 Crore which is again, a pretty significant number for a hero who has been without too many hits in the recent past.

This is perhaps an indication of the fact that Vijay is one of the biggest superstars in the younger generation of Tollywood, and he has a lot of box office capacity to bring the audience to theatres in big numbers.

This could be a clear prompting of the fact that the youngster must focus on quality content and the audience are happy to encourage him with regard to the same. This is a positive start, and it has to be seen how he would build on the same as he has a few interesting films in the lineup.
