Following the intriguing beginning with The Famine We Forgot, the Ranabaali documentary series Never Forget The Truth has moved into its second chapter with The History We Forgot.

The episode discusses how several historical truths remained outside popular discussion and looks at the exploitation of India’s agricultural wealth. It also focuses on the railway network and how the infrastructure was used to transport agricultural produce and resources from across the country to ports for shipment overseas.
Rashmika explains that researching for Ranabaali helped her discover more about the era, the people and the circumstances in which they lived, leaving her deeply moved. Vijay discusses the popular narrative surrounding the British construction of Indian railways and highlights the economic interests associated with the network, particularly its use in transporting Indian resources. The episode adds context to the historical world that the film seeks to recreate.
