CM Vijay To Clash With Son At Box Office?

Even after Superstar Joseph Vijay has been sworn in as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, the film “Jana Nayagan” hasn’t seen the light of day. The film was originally supposed to be released in January this year, but due to the over-painted political tropes in the film, the CBFC hasn’t allowed the movie to be released before the election date. But here’s the major twist now.

Apparently, the makers of Jana Nayagan are contemplating releasing the film on July 23rd, but the distribution circles are asking them to target a July 31st release such that there will be ample time for promotions. But then, on July 31st, the debut film of Vijay’s son Jason Sanjay, who is coming up with his maiden directorial venture “Sigma”, is also hitting cinemas. That means both the father and the son are up for a direct clash at the box office.

Already, there was talk that both the kids of Vijay are supporting their mother in the divorce case, but not even liking the way their father has behaved. Jason Sanjay hasn’t even met his father anywhere publicly after the latter got elected as Chief Minister, and hasn’t even supported him during the elections. Amidst these happenings, many are wondering if this clash at the box office between the father and the son is just portraying more enmity.

For now, Jana Nayagan hasn’t locked the date officially, but July 23rd seems to be the option, too. So before commenting further, one has to wait for the official confirmations.
