Vijay’s Wife Mentions Affair In Divorce: What’s Next?

Tamil superstar Thalapathy Vijay faced a personal situation as his wife Sangeeta has filed for divorce on extra marital affair ground. While submitting her petition for divorce, she mentioned that Vijay had been in an extramarital affair with an actress.

Fresh reports suggest that actor and political leader Vijay is facing a major personal challenge, as his wife Sangeetha Sornalingam has reportedly filed for divorce after more than 25 years of marriage. The petition has been submitted in the Chengalpattu Family Court under the Special Marriage Act.

According to the reports, Sangeetha has made serious allegations in her filing. She has claimed that Vijay was involved in an extramarital relationship with an actress, which she says she became aware of in April 2021.

She has stated that although he allegedly promised to end the relationship, it continued, leading to emotional distress, mental cruelty, and humiliation. The petition also mentions that Vijay gradually distanced himself from her both personally and socially, which further strained their relationship.

In addition, Sangeetha has reportedly sought permanent alimony and the right to reside in the matrimonial home. She has also requested that the court conduct the proceedings privately to protect her dignity and family privacy.

The couple married in 1999 and have two children. Vijay, who now leads Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam, has not yet issued any public statement regarding the matter. The case is expected to proceed in court in the coming weeks.
