Bigg Boss Tamil 10 Controversy: Vijay Sethupathi Opens Up About His Bond With Vijay

Actor Vijay Sethupathi has spoken warmly about Tamil actor-turned-politician Vijay at the audio launch of his upcoming film Baththa. His comments have attracted attention as they come soon after his recent interaction on Bigg Boss Tamil 10, which created discussions on social media.

During the Bigg Boss Tamil 10 weekend episode, Vijay Sethupathi spoke to contestant Shathiga about leadership and taking responsibility for decisions. Some viewers connected his comments to Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay and his political journey. However, Sethupathi did not directly mention Vijay, his party or any specific political issue during the episode.

Now, speaking at the Baththa audio launch, Vijay Sethupathi recalled some personal moments involving Vijay and his son Jason Sanjay.

Sethupathi revealed that Vijay personally called him after he wished Jason Sanjay on his birthday. According to the actor, Vijay thanked him and told him that Jason was happy to receive the birthday wishes.

Sethupathi said he was surprised by the response because Vijay is a major star. He also mentioned that he did not know that Jason was a fan of his work. Recalling a light-hearted conversation, Sethupathi spoke affectionately about Jason and described him as a “cute fellow.”

The actor also remembered visiting the sets of Jason Sanjay’s directorial project Sigma. He spoke positively about his interactions with Vijay’s family.

Another incident shared by Sethupathi involved his colleague Rohan, who was associated with Vijay’s Jana Nayagan. Sethupathi said Rohan once told him that Vijay had asked him to convey a hug. The actor recalled the gesture as a sweet and warm moment.

Vijay Sethupathi and Vijay had earlier worked together in Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Master. Their professional association has remained a talking point among Tamil cinema fans.

Meanwhile, Baththa is written and directed by Balaji Tharaneetharan. The film brings him together with Vijay Sethupathi again after Naduvula Konjam Pakkatha Kaanom and Seethakaathi. Lijomol Jose plays the female lead.

The movie is produced by Murad Khetani, Priya Atlee, Alok Jain and Ajit Andhare, with Atlee presenting the project. Baththa is scheduled to arrive in theatres on October 1.
