Vijay Sethupathi Returns To Villain Roles With Mystery
Vijay Sethupathi seems to be sliding back into the zone that first made everyone notice him.

Telugu fans still talk about his Uppena debut, where he walked in as that calm-but-scary villain and completely owned the film. Then came Vikram, which pushed his popularity even higher. After that, he kept saying he didn’t want to do negative roles anymore because hero scripts were coming his way. But now he’s casually hinting that he’s ready to step into the darker side again. A bit unexpected, but very him.
And things got even more interesting with Arasan. The Vetrimaaran–Simbu combo film officially confirmed Sethupathi’s entry. Rumours are already whispering that he might be the villain here. Some say he accepted it because he didn’t want to leave things hanging with Vetrimaaran, especially after their last film didn’t work out. Plus, he acted with Simbu earlier in Chekka Chivantha Vanam, so seeing that pair team up again after seven years is giving fans something to chew on.
He’s also busy in Telugu. Vijay wrapped up a film with Puri Jagannadh, which still doesn’t have a title. The shoot is done, and it’s sitting in post-production quietly, waiting for the right time to make noise. On the Tamil side, he’s doing another film called Train, adding one more layer to his already packed slate.
