Talented Actor Quits 'Cameos' Forever!!

Say it's a guest appearance, a cameo or just a side-character role; definitely, big stars are not likely to take up such roles if they are of Vijay Sethupathi's level. But this Tamil star has no qualms taking up those assignments all these days and has starred in many films. Guess what, most of those films have attracted the audience only because of Sethupathi’s presence on the posters. But things changed big time now.

Apparently, after doing a lot of cameos, Vijay Sethupathi realised that the films that are marketed as his full-fledged roles are not getting attention, but films with cameos are getting more attention. For that reason, the actor won’t be doing any more cameos for other stars. However, Jailer 2 featuring Superstar Rajnikanth will be an exception, as the star thinks that joining a Rajnikanth film is a kind of honour.

“If I’m doing cameos in other movies, films where I’m doing the lead are getting affected. So I wouldn’t be doing any cameos from now on,” said Vijay Setupathi in a statement the other day. Well, that surely misses out the actor in other movies like his villain role in Telugu Uppena, but then that will surely bring good attention to movies where he’s doing the main lead. Change is always good.
