Young hero Vijay Deverakonda has gained an immense following with movies like 'Pelli Choopulu', 'Geetha Govindham' and 'Arjun Reddy'. But he is going through a rough patch in his career right now. He scored a hattrick of disasters in the form of 'World Famous Lover', 'Dear Comrade' and 'Liger'. Though 'Khushi' was partly decent, his recent outing 'Family Star' turned out to be a disappointment as well. He is unable to find the right script that gets him back on the success track.

Nonetheless, he still enjoys a huge following and he is all set to announce a couple of new projects. It is Vijay's birthday on 9th May and sources say that there are going to be interesting updates arriving as a treat to his fans. Apparently, he is going to join hands once again with his 'Taxiwaala' director Rahul Sankrityan. Mythri Movie Makers who produced Vijay's 'Dear Comrade' and 'Khushi' will be producing this film. It is expected to be a period-action drama that is set in Rayalaseema.

The official announcement of this project will be arriving on Thursday. Along with that, his new project with 'Raja Vaaru Ranigaaru' fame Ravi Kiran Kola is also going to be in the news. Apparently, a concept poster of this flick produced by Dil Raju will be coming out and it is a rural action drama with larger-than-life characterization. On top of these two, he is currently working with 'Jersey' director Gowtam Tinnanuri and it is a cop drama. The makers are expected to reveal the title of the movie on the occasion of his birthday. It looks like the fans are going to get a lot of updates. They are hoping that a few of these films become successful at the box office as well.
