Vijay Deverakonda is all set to arrive with 'Family Star' and his fans are eagerly waiting to see his strong comeback. After working with fresh talent during his early days as an actor, Vijay is leaning towards trusted and experienced directors like Parasuram, Puri Jagannadh and Shiva Nirvana lately. He is locking films with Gautham Tinnanuri and a few other notable talents.

When the media questioned him about not working with debut directors lately, he said, “If I block the new directors for myself, who will work with new actors? It is necessary to give them that space. I can't just go on blocking experienced directors as well as fresh talents. It is because the big actors did not encourage new directors, I got a chance to work with directors like Tarun Bhascker and Sandeep Reddy Vanga early in my career.”

He added, “Let the director make movie with new actors. They will prove themselves to producers. It gives them experience. It doesn't need to be a success. If the director makes a film, I will have something as a reference point regarding him. While we are okaying a script, we ask for a synopsis or narration or a storyboard in order to get information regarding the director's vision. With a director makes a film, I will get more information regarding his style and mindset.”

He said that his movie budgets are not small anymore. He stated, “Pellichoopulu was made in 60 lakhs which made it easy for promotions and recovering the money. Now, the budgets have gone up and I am responsible to the buyers and producers. When I okay a film, a lot of people get involved in it. So, I have to make sure that the basics are right. I need to feel that I made the right decision and it requires as much information about the director and script as I can get. That is my reason for wanting directors to make at least one film before.”
