Vijay’s New Poster: One Good News, One Bad News

Since January, the most talked about film in the Tamil arena has been none other than Vijay’s Jana Nayagan. Superstar Vijay got promoted to Chief Minister C Joseph Vijay after clean sweeping the assembly elections in the state, but then the film wasn’t promoted for release immediately. Finally, it looks like the bad days are gone.

Based on the Telugu film Bhagavanth Kesari, Vijay’s Jana Nayagan is finally censored, and the film is awarded an “A” certificate as well. Though many thought that the movie would get a U/A certificate, it looks like the CBFC has taken a call on the same. And that’s the good news for now, as the film has been cleared of all the hurdles for the release.

The bad news is that even after announcing that the film got an ‘A’ certificate, the makers of Jana Nayagan haven’t even published the release date of the movie. Though distributors in Tamil Nadu are confirming that July 23rd is going to be the movie’s release day, there is no official confirmation of the same. Some say that maybe July 30th is also an option for the movie’s release; that’s the reason the makers are keeping quiet.

All said and done, Jana Nayagan, being Vijay’s last movie as of now, is likely to get humongous openings at the Box Office.
