'Maharaja' Trailer: Who Is Lakshmi? What Is Vijay Sethupathi Searching For?

Makkal Selvan Vijay Sethupathi is known for his versatile roles. The National Award winning actor is known for pushing boundaries when it comes to getting into the skin of the characters he plays. Last year, he did many versatile roles starting from 'Farzi' to a villain in 'Jawan'. He did a lot of interesting characters and he is arriving as 'Maharaja' for his 50th film.

The trailer of the movie came out recently and it looks quite interesting. Sethupathi plays the role of a barber who owns a saloon shop. He goes to the police to file a missing complaint. When the police ask about the missing item, he says 'Lakshmi'. When asked about it, he makes gestures with his hand and doesn't say what it is. The police get confused if it is money or his wife or kid or something else.

It is not revealed in the trailer and we get to see acclaimed Bollywood director Anurag Kashyap at the end. He is reportedly playing the negative role and he showed his villainy already in 'Anjali IPS'. The trailer is very well packaged and the dark tone definitely keeps the audience guessing. It is going to be a complete thriller filled with twists. The action part is also shown in the trailer.

Vijay Sethupathi seems to have delivered another stellar performance. Mamatha Mohandas is a part of the film as well. The rest of the cast includes Natty (Natraj), Bharathiraja, Abhirami, Mamta Mohandas, Singampuli, Aruldoss, Munishkanth, Vinoth Sagar, Boys Manikandan, Kalki, Sachana Namidass and others. Sudhan Sundaram and Jagadish Palanisamy is the producer while Nithilan Saminathan is the writer and director. Ajaneesh Lokanath is the music composer while Dinesh Purushothaman is the director of photography. Philmon Raj is the editor and Anl Arasu is the stunt director.
