According to the rumors, some anti-fans of Vijay claimed that the LEO actor had requested a public relations officer (PRO) associated with Superstar Rajnikanth to ask the superstar to promote the film before its release. At an event, journalists inquired about 'LEO' from Rajnikanth, as he is collaborating with director Lokesh Kanagaraj for his next project. Rajnikanth did talk about 'LEO' during the event. However, the PRO clarified that neither Vijay had made any such request nor had Rajnikanth intentionally promoted the film.

As a result, fans of Vijay, Rajnikanth, and others have engaged in debates regarding the accuracy of this rumor in social media.

Meanwhile, Rajnikanth expressed his well-wishes for Vijay's 'LEO,' hoping that the film achieves great success. "I pray the film should become a huge success," he stated during a brief interaction with the media.
