Actor and director Vishwak Sen is coming up with his upcoming action film Cult. The movie has already created interest among audiences because of its different story and intense action scenes. Vishwak Sen is playing the lead role and has also taken charge of directing the film. The actor recently shared interesting details about how the story developed and why he decided to direct it.

During an interview, Vishwak Sen explained that the second half of Cult was not ready when he first started thinking about the film. He said he spent nearly two and a half years thinking about the story. However he did not find the right idea to take the story forward.

Later he heard about an incident connected to Vietnam through a friend who had travelled there to teach English. The incident reportedly became a major source of inspiration for him. It created excitement in him and helped him develop the second half of the film.

Vishwak Sen also made an interesting comment about the concept of Cult. He suggested that the film has a secret and unusual idea that audiences have not seen before. The makers are keeping important details about the story under wraps, making viewers curious about what the film has to offer.

The actor also spoke about his decision to direct the movie. After the poor performance of his previous film Laila, he felt that he needed to take responsibility for his comeback. He believes that his future is in his own hands and decided to take control of the project.

Initially, Tazuddin was announced as the director of Cult. However, Vishwak Sen later decided to direct the film himself. He expressed respect for Tazuddin and described him as one of his acting gurus.

The film features Gayatri Bharadwaj as the female lead and Tarak Ponnappa as the antagonist. Murali Sharma and Srikanth Iyengar also play important roles. The trailer shows more than 300 people trapped inside an isolated estate in Goa, where they must face dangerous challenges to survive.

Vishwak Sen is confident that audiences will enjoy the intense drama and unusual concept. Cult is scheduled to release in theatres on October 30, 2026.
