Vishwaksen is back to directing, and this time he's working on a film called CULT. The makers launched the trailer yesterday, and he hopes to make a comeback to success on all fronts. However, the trailer hints at a violent film with a lot of blood. Vishwak admits he made the film to cater to youth and Gen Z, rather than to appeal to all audience segments.

Interestingly, there is fatigue with action and violent films in Telugu right now. After watching back-to-back films infused with a heavy dose of violence, there is a genuine backlash against the genre, and Vishwak is now trying a full-blown action film. Interestingly, Vishwak is aware of the public pulse, and he admits it.

That said, Vishwak hopes some sections of the audience will embrace his movie, which would be enough for him to taste success. Most importantly, he summarised his film Cult as a blend of Project X and Squid Game. In fact, both titles are well received by youth and new-age audiences. Going by that logic, Vishwaksen may have a winner in hand.

That said, the film may also attract a huge backlash. If the word of mouth is negative and if there are discouraging reports coming in, then, the stakes will be high and Vishwak must pull out some interesting marketing strategies.
