In a recent interview, Vishwak Sen made his stand very clear about creative involvement in films

Responding to criticism that some young heroes interfere too much in filmmaking, Vishwak Sen said he does not interfere in films that he does not direct himself.
He said, “No matter how the film turns out, I will not interfere in a movie that I am not directing. If an actor interferes, the director cannot do what he wants, and the actor also cannot fully follow the director. In the end, it becomes a mess.” With this statement, Vishwak Sen put an end to the ongoing talk that he controls every project he acts in.
This clarification comes at a time when his latest film Funky is struggling at the box office. Released on February 13 as a Valentine’s Day special, the romantic comedy stars Vishwak Sen and Kayadu Lohar in the lead roles. The film was directed by KV Anudeep and arrived in theatres with low buzz.
According to box office tracking reports, Funky has shown a steady decline in collections. On Day 6, the film managed to collect only ₹47 lakh, which was a drop of nearly 31% compared to the previous day. After six days, the total India net collection stands at ₹7.75 crore, while the India gross is around ₹9.14 crore. Overseas, the film earned about ₹3.2 crore, taking the worldwide gross to ₹12.34 crore.
The film is reportedly made on a budget of ₹25 crore, but so far, only 31% of the budget has been recovered. With daily collections falling below the ₹50 lakh mark and competition from other releases, trade experts believe that reaching the safe zone now looks very difficult.
