Chiranjeevi Going From Sankranthi To August?
Due to the delay in the post production and the extended timelines, the film was announced for release in the month of May.
By: Tupaki Desk | 8 March 2025 5:24 AMEarlier, the makers of megastar Chiranjeevi’s Vishwambhara announced that the film would be releasing in theatres during the 2025 Sankranthi season. However, this decision had to be postponed as the teaser of the film which was released earlier got poor response for the shady VFX.
The makers then commission repair job with regard to the VFX and CG works as the post production was outsourced to the well renowned teams that had earlier worked on films like Avatar.
Due to the delay in the post production and the extended timelines, the film was announced for release in the month of May. However, this is also not even remotely the case now as the film is on the verge of getting postponed further again.
The latest news that we are hearing regarding this film is that it could potentially be releasing in theatres only in the month of August this year. This is mostly due to the fact that the post production took a lot more time than unexpected and the makers are having to deal with the repair job after the damage was delivered through the teaser.
If at all the makers decide to go for August release, then the chances are that the film could be releasing on August 22 which marks the birthday of Chiranjeevi. This would be a special location to mark the release of the film exactly on the birthday of Chiranjeevi.
However, the exact timeline of the release will emerge only after the film is nearly done with the post production which is taking much longer than expected as the team wants to be absolutely sure about the VFX and CG works.
