Vivek Athreya Reveals Which Films He Likes The Best! 'Ante'? or 'SS'?

Right from the beginning of his career, writer-director Vivek Athreya was interested in making interesting films. His first film was 'Mental Madhilo' and he went on to make a crime comedy like 'Brochevarevaru Ra'. After that, he arrived with 'Ante Sundaraniki' with Nani and Nazriya playing lead roles. The film was met with mixed response initially and did not do great business at the box office.

It later turned into a classic after arriving on Netflix. He changed his style and readied an action drama like 'Saripodhaa Sanivaaram'. Despite having a regular story, Vivek Athreya added his touch by giving it a completely new treatment. The movie crossed the 75 crore mark already and will be reaching the 100 crore club too. It is doing good business and it is with Nani too.

When asked about which among 'Ante Sundaraniki' and 'Saripodhaa Sanivaaram' that he did with Nani is his favorite, Vivek said it was the romantic comedy. Despite not doing good commercial business like 'Saripodhaa Sanivaaram', Vivek voted for 'Ante Sundaraniki' as he terms it more satisfying.

He said, “Ante's setback was very personal for me. I still believe that Ante was the better script. However, Saripodhaa was a well-packaged script. As a writer, I was more satisfied with Ante Sundaraniki.” A lot of netizens agreed with his opinion too but people did not show up in theatres when the film was released two years back.
