A gruesome incident shook Vizag’s Gajuwaka area, as a man allegedly murdered his girlfriend and dismembered her body.

The accused, identified as Ravinder from Palakonda in Srikakulam district, reportedly worked as a technician in the Navy. Police revealed that he chopped the victim’s body into pieces, storing some parts in a refrigerator and the rest in a gunny bag.

The victim, Mounika, had been in contact with Ravinder for three years. However, Ravinder had recently married another woman, which fueled tension between him and Mounika.

Reports suggest that Mounika pressured him to marry her as well. Authorities believe that Ravinder, wishing to eliminate the obstacle, plotted and carried out the murder when Mounika had gone to her parental home about a month ago.

Local residents and the victim’s family expressed shock and outrage over the horrifying crime. Neighbors described the act as unimaginable, highlighting the fear it has instilled in the community. Police are investigating the case thoroughly, collecting forensic evidence from the scene and the items used to conceal the body.

Authorities have taken Ravinder into custody and are interrogating him to understand the motive and sequence of events. The police assured that strict action would be taken and justice delivered to Mounika’s family.
