Hug Day: Did Naresh Praise Or Throw A Satire?

Senior actor VK Naresh is known for his funny satires during public events, but then, he makes a lot of sense when it comes to talking about people and analysing them. Attending the trailer launch event of “Hey Bhagawan” today, Naresh celebrated ‘hug day’ on the stage by hugging all the male-celebs over there. Here’s the interesting part.

Apparently, Naresh felt that heroine Shivani Nagaram and anchor Sravanthi Chokarapu have turned out in sarees today, and he can’t hug them for the same reason. “After an incident recently, after that particular incident, these days, many female celebs are being seen wearing only sarees at movie events. As sarees denote Indian culture, and as per Indian culture, we wouldn’t hug other women, you two hug each other” said Naresh.

Is Naresh opining that Sivaji’s comments that film actresses should wear sarees in public are taken seriously by female celebs? Or he’s throwing a satire on Sravanthi because she’s the one who said to Sivaji at a later event that she turned up in a saree only ever since Sivaji made those comments. Whatever it may be, people at the venue understood things in their own way and laughed.
