War 2 Plans 4 AM Hyderabad Release Awaiting YRF Approval

War 2 is gearing up to be one of the year’s biggest releases. The film marks Jr NTR’s first full-fledged role in Hindi cinema, sharing the screen with Hrithik Roshan in a high-energy spy thriller directed by Ayan Mukerji. Kiara Advani also plays a key role. Set in the popular YRF Spy Universe, it’s scheduled to hit theatres on August 14, going head-to-head with Superstar Rajinikanth’s upcoming action movie Coolie.

Advance bookings opened at midnight on August 10. The movie will play across 5,000 screens in India, releasing in Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil. Audiences can choose between standard 2D, IMAX 2D, and 4DX formats in select locations. Tickets are now available on BookMyShow and PayTM, with no special offers or discounts announced yet.

Distributors in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana are pushing for 4 AM shows for the Telugu version, banking on Jr NTR’s massive fan base. This early-show trend has already paid off for recent releases like Devara and Pushpa 2. But Yash Raj Films is holding back, preferring a uniform release time for all versions, as early screenings are not common for Hindi films.

While early shows can fuel hype, they can also backfire if initial reviews are negative. The Telugu version, being a dubbed release, might feel more Bollywood in style, which could divide opinion. Still, with a star-packed cast, large-scale promotions, and Jr NTR’s dedicated following, War 2 has strong chances of becoming a box-office winner. The decision on those 4 AM shows is pending, but the buzz is already electric.
