Monday BO: Both Coolie And War 2 Fail Big Time?

The box office class between two superstar driven films War 2 and Coolie is not going well. Interestingly, both these films are struggling to generate any sort of venues at the box office, and the crash got much deeper on the first Monday.

Both NTR and Rajinikanth films have struggled to maintain the momentum over the first Monday as there has been a significant drop from the collection after the opening holiday weekend.

Reportedly, there has been nearly 70% drop on average for both these films at the box office on the first Monday, and this is not a good sign.

While the primary factor here is that neither of these two films have managed to grab positive reviews. It must also be noted that the Indian audience have been steadily staying away from theatres.

Both the factors have combined to deliver a deadly stroke to both these films as they are now looking at substantial losses, not just in the Telugu states, but also in the major markets.

But luckily, for the Rajinikanth film managed to generate huge revenues in the opening weekend itself, which meant that it could be entering safe zone very soon. The film is a decent grosser in the Telugu states as well.

But when it comes to War 2, neither Hrithik Roshan or NTR could save this film as it is now turning out to be one of the biggest lost ventures in Indian cinema. It is staring at huge losses of nearly 50% in the Telugu state as well.
