Bollywood in action: War 2 To Be Ahead Of Coolie!

As we have been reporting multiple times for the last few days, it is Rajinikanth and Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Coolie which is ahead in the box office race in the overseas market. The film has taken a comfortable lead over War 2 which marks the collaboration of Hrithik Roshan and Junior NTR.

But the latest development are suggesting that the Bollywood forces are in full play as they have been orchestrating the passage in such a way that War 2 is ahead of Coolie in terms of theatres distribution.

It is understandable if IMAX & 4DX shows are given to the Telugu version premieres of War 2 but in the USA, UK & in other countries, IMAX & 4DX shows in many major locations are given to the Hindi version premieres and in the majority of those locations, hardly 2-3 tickets are sold per show.

If the talk amongst the internal circles is to be believed, the people running YRF passed strict orders to exhibitors to give as many shows as coolie for WAR2 in normal screens across the locations and give all 4DX & IMAX shows only to WAR2. Even the WAR2 early shows timings are scheduled in such a way as to not give Coolie any sort of advantage.

Every effort is being made to make sure that the NTR and Hrithik Roshan film is comfortably ahead of the Rajinikanth film at least in terms of theatre allocation in the overseas market.

This is a big revelation that is being established now, and it has to be seen how the ultimate revenues would turn up considering that both the films are releasing in theatres on August 14.
