Tragic BO: War 2 and Coolie Dead Sleep In AP/TS!

The Telugu states box office has become largely unpredictable in recent times with films, trending to go haywire every now and again. The same is to be understood if you look at the box office performance of recent films War 2 and Coolie.

These two films have registered a decent weekend at the Telugu state ticket counters with holiday season advantage. But both of them have crashed badly on the first working day, Monday, and these are not good signs.

According to the latest reports, the NTR film registered zero share market in many pockets across Telugu states, which is concerning for an NTR film with such massive production scale.

The situation is not too good for the Rajinikanth film Coolie as it reported very negligible shares in the Telugu states. It is barely above the line when it comes to War 2.

The situation is so very bad that even superstars like Rajinikanth and NTR are not able to pull the audience to theatres even with decent products.

Telugu audience have made it very clear that they are not here to encourage mediocre film with mass masala template, and they simply want something out of the ordinary to step out to watch films.

The box office disaster of these two films is a clear indication of the transition that is happening with the Telugu audience as they are not running after a film, just for the superstar power associated with it.

It is high time that the Telugu superstars also acknowledge this changing trend and alter their filmmaking choices accordingly.
