Despite Coolie Mania, War 2 Dominating Screen Count?

We have not just a single, but two theatrical release is coming up this week in the form of Coolie and War 2. Both the films are preparing for release on August 14, and the expectations are pretty significant on the same.

However, it is Coolie that’s leading the race with ticketing mania as the advance sales are through the roof. But on the other hand, we have the NTR and Hrithik Roshan film, which is absolutely dominating when it comes to screen count thanks to the production house Yash Raj films.

Yash Raj Films (YRF) is going all out for the release of War 2, which is set to hit theaters on August 14. The production house has made special plans to ensure the film gets the maximum number of shows across India.

Single-screen theaters have reportedly been told to screen only War 2 without any other films. In two-screen theaters, the movie will be shown at least 12 times a day, while three-screen theaters will run it around 18 times daily. Bigger multiplexes will take it to another level those with 7–8 screens will have 36–42 shows per day, and those with 9–10 screens will play it 48–54 times daily.

According to the internal hearsay, YRF has also advised theaters to run at full capacity and charge higher ticket prices to match the big release. Advance bookings for War 2 have already started and the response from the audience is strong.

The real question now is whether War 2 can surpass the opening performance of superstar Rajinikanth’s Coolie, which has already created massive records. With such an aggressive release strategy and high audience interest, War 2 is expected to dominate the box office in its opening week.
