Why Hrithik Picked Jailer 2 But Not Ramayana?

However, if the Bollywood star could accept this cameo, why didn’t he agree to do the role of Lord Ravana in the upcoming “Ravanya”, which is hitting cinemas on Diwali eve?
Well, if we look at the role in Jailer 2, the cameo is done for two things, with one nothing but loving Rajnikanth and going to any extent to become part of his movie. The second thing is that Sun Pictures is said to have offered a bomb, more than ₹20 crores, for Hrithik to do this short role, after Shah Rukh Khan refused to do that.
Coming to Ramayana, surely that’s going to be another negative role for Hrithik Roshan after films like WAR, and he doesn’t want to do the same antagonist stuff again and again. Also, if things go wrong in the shoes of Ravana, surely few sections of society are going to alienate or hate Hrithik forever, and the actor doesn’t want to take any such chances.
Some say that even the makers of Ramayana haven’t chased Hrithik for a couple of times, otherwise, he might have agreed to do it. But bringing Yash into the role will bring new attention for the film down the South, and also even the masses will look forward to it due to the presence of the Kannada hero who has become a pan-India star.
