Bollywood’s Top Actor In Tihar Jail For Cheque Bounce Case

In a shocking turn of events, Bollywood actor and comedian Rajpal Yadav is currently lodged behind bars in Tihar Jail, regarding which the actor commented that it’s his fate, and he has no money or good friends to come out. Well, there are lots of cheque bounce cases against so many celebs, but what made Rajpal go to jail? Read on.

According to media reports, Rajpal Yadav and his wife Radha borrowed a loan of ₹5 crores in 2010 to produce a movie, and later that amounted to a total of ₹7 crores after all the deductions. Back in 2018, when the case was lodged by the company under Section 138 (Dishonour of Cheque), they got sentenced to a six-month jail term. Later, with the actor failing to repay multiple times, early this year, the Court refused to delay the punishment of a 6-month jail sentence. With nothing much to do, the actor surrendered in Tihar Jail to undergo the sentence.

Before going to jail, the actor took to his social media to say that he has nothing to do now, as there is no option for him but to surrender, as he cannot pay the money. Also, he pointed out that there are no friends in the industry who could help him, and reiterated that he would deal with the crisis on his own. While this punishment is ongoing, the final verdict in the case is yet to come out.

Known for his presence in the Bhool Bhulaiya series, Rajpal Yadav also acted in the Telugu film Kick 2 as well.
