Telugu Star Daughters Vs Other Tinsel Towns

In the Telugu film industry, there are not many heroines coming from the influential families of Tollywood. Barring Niharika Konidela, who appeared as a heroine in a couple of movies, none of the ladies from Megastar Chiranjeevi’s family entered the acting profession. The same is the case with the families of Balakrishna and Venkatesh, too. Except for Manchu Lakshmi, there are no actresses from big Tollywood families, if we have to say.

If we look at the star daughters from other tinsel towns, surely most of the daughters of superstars, side-characters and directors end up as heroines only. From Bollywood, daughters of other big stars like Shatrugan Sinha (Sonakshi), Randheer Kapoor (Karishma, Kareena), directors like Mahesh Bhatt (Alia Bhatt) and side-character artists like Chunky Panday (Ananya Panday) have already entered. In Tamil Nadu, we have Sarathkumar’s daughter Varalakshmi, and the daughters of many stars end up in acting. Though daughters of big stars like Rajnikanth haven’t taken up such. Let’s have a look at what is happening in Malayalam now.

Now in Kerala, Mohanlal’s younger daughter Vismaya is also debuting as an actress. This is the first time a star hero’s daughter is turning to acting, as she debuts with the movie Thudakkum, which is hitting cinemas on August 7th. Already in Malayalam, the daughters of big heroes and directors have clicked well, like Kalyani Priyadarshan and Keerthy Suresh. So if things work out for Vismaya, she will be joining that elite list.
