She just appeared in a small role as a nurse who works as a covert killer for the Indian Government in the movie Dhurandhar 2, but Yami Gautam is not being talked about for that. Apparently, her success from an underdog to that of a proven heroine/actress at the moment, and how Bollywood is treating her right now, and how they treated her earlier, is being widely discussed.

Apparently, videos of Yami Gautham getting ignored on TV shows when she went there to promote her films are going viral now. And that happened in a Karan Johar show, where the likes of Malaika Arora are other judges, and none have given any special treatment or at least a colleague-like treatment for the actress. At the same time, there are rumours that KJo hasn’t even called Yami for Koffee With Karan along with Hrithik, because he doesn’t want a non-A-list starrer to sit in the hot seat. But after Dhurandhar's release, after watching her in the Haq movie, Karan stated that he became a fan of her for life. Many are saying that success is the best revenge, and Yami Gautham did it well.

From proving herself with movies like Article 370 and Haq, to her husband’s successful stint as director with Uri: The Surgical Strike and Dhurandhar, Yami Gautham has now emerged as part of one of the most powerful couples in Bollywood at the moment. This doesn’t happen overnight, after her debut in 2012 with Vicky Donor to acting in Telugu movies like Gowravam and Courier Boy Kalyan, Yami carved a strong path. On that note, she’s not an outsider to Bollywood, because her father happens to be a popular TV serials director.
