After Toxic, Yash Is Co-Producer For Ramayana Also?
Yash will be seen in two movies this year, one is the fairytale for grown-ups, Toxic, directed by Geethu Mohandas, and the other one is director Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana
By: Shanaz B Syed | 2 April 2026 3:43 PM ISTEver since the KGF series came out, the name Yash rings a bell even in the farthest corner of the country, and that’s how the Kannada star’s popularity has risen. Although he has delayed his next film, Toxic, the movie is sure to receive significant attention when it releases in the first week of June 2026. More than that, currently the KGF star, aka Rocky Bhai, is being discussed for his next films and the way he has become a co-producer of the upcoming films.
Yash will be seen in two movies this year, one is the fairytale for grown-ups, Toxic, directed by Geethu Mohandas, and the other one is director Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana, where he will be seen as a villain, as he plays the role of Lord Ravan. Guess what, his name is credited as a Co-Producer for the “Ramayana” movie, also, after he took the same credit for the “Toxic” movie. Looks like Yash is not taking remuneration these days, but only share in profits; however, many are wondering if he has really reached that stage where he could demand a co-producer card when the likes of Ranbir Kapoor haven’t taken any.
After the two franchise films KGF and KGF Chapter 2 raked up more than ₹2500 crores from theatrical collections and OTT streaming rights, surely Yash is a bigger name than any other actors associated with Ramayana, including that of Ranbir Kapoor, Sunny Deol and others. While Ranbir has a film like Animal that grossed ₹900 crores and Sunny has Gadar 2 and Border 2 that worked out well, surely Yash is the bigger star. Perhaps for the very same reason, he might have demanded a share in the film’s rights, along with the ‘Co-Producer’ credit. It makes sense!
