From a long time, legendary director SS Rajamouli has wanted to present his films in IMAX format across the globe. They have made the Baahubali re-release version presentable on the large screens with full gate resolution, giving a breather to Rajamouli’s IMAX dreams. But now it looks like a competitor has gone ahead of Rajamouli when it comes to releasing an Indian film on IMAX screens.

While Rajamouli’s Varanasi has been targeting an IMAX release from the beginning, Yash’s TOXIC, the upcoming release, has locked a large-scale release on the giant screens. KGF fame, Yash’s latest magnum opus, has given the twist to the tale, with IMAX itself announcing on its official panel that Toxic will be released on IMAX screens in India. To make it more comfortable on the IMAX screens, the Toxic English version is also being released now.

Right from the beginning, in fact, Yash’s toxic movie is trending in the path treaded by Rajamouli earlier. Like how Rajamouli released character posters for the Baahubali movie, the makers of Toxic has done the same. They are now also planning the English-language IMAX release. What is to be seen is if Yash jumps into the scene to market and promote the film like a Rajamouli, along with his director, Geetu Mohan Das, is crucial.
