‘Toxic’ Pushed To June - What Works, What Not!

Whenever one film’s release date is pushed out, it will definitely give an advantage to others. But if big films are missing out on their release dates and blocking other slots, surely many small films and medium-budgeted movies will suffer. Now that Yash’s Toxic has locked a new release date, let's see what works and what does not.

With Toxic moving to June 4th release, surely that will give a good breather to Dhurandhar 2, which is hitting cinemas on March 19th and Ustaad Bhagat Singh, which is releasing on March 26. However, if Toxic moves to June, that will be an advantage for the film only. With June happening right after Summer, surely the people will come out of their homes in the month as the scorching heat reduces, and theatres enjoy footfalls. At the same time, as IPL also gets over by May 31st, that would be a great moment for films. These aspects work in favour of the movie.

However, in March, there is no big competition for Toxic, but if the likes of Jr NTR Dragon and other movies get confirmed for June 2026 release, then Toxic might not see much free time at the box office as it could do in the month of March. Of course, if a big film like Toxic gets a blockbuster talk, then non-unseasonal, no competition and nothing could disturb it at the box office.
