Ramayana and Toxic: Yash’s Hollywood Masterstroke
For both these films, Yash has immediately joined as co-producer and contributed a lot in terms of writing, making and marketing.
By: Shanaz B Syed | 11 Aug 2026 1:20 PM ISTWhen a hero gets “KGF” like massive success, surely they would be cashing in on that quite immediately. While KGF 1 was released in 2018, Part 2 came in 2022, and that means nearly 8 years later, Yash is coming up with another character through “Toxic”. At the same time, “Ramayana” will see him as villain Ravana. There’s an interesting thing to be discussed about these two movies, which we could call a masterstroke.
For both these films, Yash has immediately joined as co-producer and contributed a lot in terms of writing, making and marketing. The masterstroke has come in the form of international release, and both these films have Hollywood partners now. While Ramayana signed with Sony Entertainment, Toxic got Lionsgate, and that ensures these two films get more than 5000 screens release across the world, outside India.
While the likes of Rajamouli getting Hollywood partners is different because the director’s RRR already ran in the USA, got an Oscar award and got appreciation from many top Hollywood directors. Yash’s movies have neither been released there, nor are his directors from the West. But then, the hero cracked the deals for these two movies, and that’s what sets apart those films now.
While Toxic runs entirely on Yash’s shoulders, Ramayana has Ranbir Kapoor leading the show, but then, after the trailer’s release, it’s Yash’s show that got massive attention.
