Breaking News: Yash’s Toxic Postponed, New Date Here

By: Shanaz B Syed | 4 March 2026 10:41 AM ISTPan-India star Yash, who has shot to fame with the KGF franchise, is coming up with the dark action thriller, “Toxic: A fairy tale for grown-ups”, and that was supposed to hit cinemas across the world on March 19th 2026 along with Dhurandhar 2.

However, like we expressed the other day, the uncertainty in the Middle East, due to the Israel, US, and Iran war, definitely made a big ₹300 crore market at stake as we speak. While Dhurandhar 2 was expected to take a call on this, it looks like Toxic made its plan well in advance.
Filmed in Kannada and English, Toxic is built with a lot of conviction by director Geetu Mohandas, and Yash announced that the film should reach the widest possible audience before confirming that the film will be postponed. The film will now be released across the globe in English and other Indian langauges on June 4th, 2026.
Surely this is a well-thought-out decision because the war in the Middle East might last for nearly a month or so, and the after-effects will be felt for another month easily. So, to give up two good months is a good thing for Toxic to do right now.
Yash confirms, “The current uncertainty, especially in the Middle East, has created a situation that impacts our goal to reach and connect with the widest possible audience. Therefore, in the interest of our partners and our audience, we have made the difficult but carefully considered decision to reschedule our release”, in a special note, as he happens to be one of the producers of the movie.
